The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is going hi-tech and transparent in its recruitment and ticketing system and has opted for an e- recruitment system for filling 5,313 vacancies. As part of the exercise, 79 officer posts will be filled. Candidates will be selected based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and the KSRTC Common Aptitude Test. Mr. Cheluvarayaswamy, the Transport minister said funds had been earmarked to construct 16 new KSRTC depots and 25 bus stations in the current financial year. KSRTC had also prepared a proposal to establish a driving training school on a 15-acre plot between Bangalore and Hassan.
