Mumbai transportation

Mumbai bus services : The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking of the Brihan Mumbai Mahanagarpalika - BEST provides public transportation and transit / bus services to passengers. Some important bus routes are mentioned below.

• Bus Route 166 connects maximum hospitals in Mumbai and other suburban areas.
• Bus Route 161 covers maximum Oil Reservoirs and unpopulated areas in Eastern wings of the city.
• Bus Route 9 covers large number of school and colleges.
• Bus Route 320, 22ltd., 25ltd. have an outstanding feature of connecting two largest water reservoirs of the city.
• Bus Route 1,66,202 runs Round the clock for passengers.

BEST provides connecting bus services between different parts of the City to Mumbai International Airport as well as to the Mumbai Domestic Airport. BEST offers free and concessional travel facility. The facility is not available for Luxury and Air conditioned bus services.

Pune transportation

Pune is easily accessible by bus from any of the major cities of Maharashtra. From Mumbai, regular MSRTC buses and private buses ply to Pune. The bus route also flows through the Western Ghats. Long distance share taxis ply from Mumbai (Dadar) regularly. There is a fixed rate of charge.

Pune city transportation is provided by Pune Municipal Transport. Buses service is available to every part of Pune, and has bus stations location across the city. Main bus stations in Pune are Swargate, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune station, Shivaji Nagar Station, M.G.Bus stand, Pune Corporation, Saras Baug. Market yard and Katraj. There are lot many other bus shelters and small stands within the city of Pune. MSRTC - Maharash State Road Transport Corporation has bus stations within Pune at Kothrud, Katraj, Market Yard, N. Tanajiwadi, Pune station asiad, Pune station, Swargate, Shivajinagar. Buses ply from Mumbai to Pune and other part of Maharashtra from this MSRTC bus stations.

Tourists or passengers can also hire direct taxi to travel between Pune - Mumbai or Mumbai to Pune, and there are fix charges.

At Pune station there are 8 platforms and buses ply to different cities of Maharashtra from each of this platforms regualrly. Shivajinagar bus stand has 10 number of platforms catering the needs of the passengers to travel within Maharashtra and the adjoining states of Maharashtra. Interstate bus transportation as well as Intercity bus transportation is available from this MSRTC bus stand.
