Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai - Division I) Ltd formerly known as Pallavan Transport Corporation Ltd operates in the Chennai Metropolitan area with a fleet strength of more then 2800+ buses. Due to the increasing demand of passenger transport in Chennai, fleet strength of MTC is rapidly growing. MTC serves around 300 bus routes in the Chennai Metropolitan Area everyday, carrying approximately 3 million passengers daily.
